The Challenge
The customer is a Global Legal entity which offers legal products & services. They had the directive to migrate from on-premises deployments to AWS.
The team wanted to standardize country deployments, containerize APIs to limit conflicts, and automate builds across platforms.
Our Approach
RefactorQ helped standardise deployment pipelines and successfully migrated 5 country operations to AWS:
- Created deployment automation pipelines over the AWS platform to standardize operations
- Upgraded the tech stack using standardized configurations of Java and Oracle running on Linux hosts
- Containerized API stacks to isolate operations and prevent conflicting package dependencies
- Configured CI/CD workflows using Jenkins shared libraries and CloudFormation modules
- Analyzed local configurations and synchronized database contents safely to the cloud
Architecture & Workflow
System Flow
Continuous deployment pipeline using Jenkins shared library code and CloudFormation rules to deploy containerized API servers.
Impact
5 Region Migration
Successfully transitioned operational workloads across five countries to AWS
Containerized APIs
Eliminated dependency conflicts by shipping independent container images
Standardized Tech Stack
Upgraded operating engines using Java and Oracle setups on Linux
